Intelligent Talking Alarm Clock Wakes You Up Early in Case of Bad Weather

The Talking Headline News Alarm Clock (THAC) is directed towards home users who need that "special" wake-up call. This PC-based productivity tool uses the computer's voice to speak current news headlines, local weather and motivational quotations to its users.
What makes THAC different from other alarm clocks is its intelligence. THAC has two unique features - the ability to trigger an alarm earlier if the local weather conditions are inclement, and the ability to turn on room lights via an X10 interface. By monitoring RSS weather feeds from the internet, THAC will wake up its owners if the local weather is bad in their area. So if there is a blizzard or heavy rain, the news is spoken earlier, lights are turned on and people can get to work on time.
